Gamepad Tester
Test your controller's inputs in real-time. Check for stick drift, deadzones, and verify button actuation.
Waiting for Controller
Plug in a controller via USB or pair it via Bluetooth.
You must press a button on the controller for the browser to detect it.
Why Test Your Controller?
Gamepads take a lot of physical abuse during intense gaming sessions. Over time, the analog mechanisms inside the thumbsticks can wear down, leading to inaccurate readings. This tool connects directly to the HTML5 Gamepad API to show you exactly what data your controller is sending to your PC.
Checking for Stick Drift
Stick drift occurs when your controller registers movement even when you aren't touching the thumbsticks. To test for this, plug in your controller and leave it perfectly still on a desk. If the analog stick crosshairs are jittering or sitting outside the exact center (0.00), you have stick drift.
Trigger Actuation & Deadzones
Modern controllers have analog triggers (L2/R2 or LT/RT) that register pressure from 0 to 100%. Our tester shows the precise floating-point value of your triggers, allowing you to ensure they can fully reach 100% actuation without getting stuck.
